The Key To Micah's Heart (Hell Yeah!) Page 29

  Would he mind?

Would he think it was silly?

When Micah turned his attention back to her, he could tell something was on her mind. “What’s wrong?”

She gave him a shy smile. “Nothing’s wrong. Do you know what those people are doing?”

He followed her gaze. “Come on, let’s get closer.”

When they neared, Madison could see couples bending over to fasten their locks, then embrace and throw their key into the Seine. “Don’t you think that’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever seen?”

Micah watched her face, the dreamy, expectant look in her eyes. “It’s a shame you don’t have that lock I gave you.”

She looked up at him, almost guiltily. “I do.”

“Oh, really?” He held out his hand. “Give it to me.”

“What?” He couldn’t mean it. Only couples who thought they were in love put the lovelocks on the bridge. “Do you know what it means?”

With his hand still outstretched, she couldn’t deny him. Madison found the lock in her purse and placed it in his open palm.

“Do you have one of those markers left from the book tour?”

She gave him that also. “What are you doing?” She watched in amazement as he wrote their names on the back. Micah + Madison and added a ♥. “Micah?”

“Don’t stroke out on me, Fellows. We’re in the most romantic city on Earth, we’re going to do this up right.”

With her heart in her throat, she went with him to the bridge and joined her hand with his as they fastened the padlock to the wire.

“Here’s the key,” she whispered. The key to her heart, for he held it in his hands as surely as he held the tiny bit of brass.

“Give me a kiss,” he demanded and she went into his arms as naturally as the blue waters rolled to the sea. When they broke apart, he tossed the key into the Seine. “There. Perfect.”

“Thank you, Micah.” Unabashedly, she wiped tears from her face. “I’ll never forget this moment.”

Taking his phone, he took pictures of the lock, of her and of himself. “Pressed into the pages of our memories and soon to be on our hard-drives.” As others crowded close to follow their example, Micah led her back to the path.

“I’d heard they removed most of the locks. The weight was bearing down too hard on the bridge. So, many of them are lost forever.” She glanced back. “I hope ours makes it. It would break my heart if something happened to it.”

Repeating a phrase he often told himself, they set off on another adventure. “Stop worrying, things will work out just like they’re supposed to.”

  Paris Rendezvous…

Madison couldn’t sleep. She slipped from the bed and went to sit on the window seat. Seeing the sunrise over the Seine was a miracle she didn’t want to miss.

  “Fellows.”

Madison jerked her head to the bed, expecting to meet Micah’s eyes. Odd. They were closed. She shrugged, maybe she’d imagined the barely audible mumble. She didn’t look away, however, he was worth checking out–asleep or awake.

  “Madison.”

Her breath hitched, this she had not imagined. He’d just full-on moaned her name and if she wasn’t mistaken, he legs were moving under the sheet–as if writhing…in need.

  “Oh fuck, Madison, yeah.”

Madison rose slowly, mesmerized by how his hips were bucking. The sheet had fallen away and his cock was visible. It wasn’t flaccid, but it wasn’t hard yet. But God above, it was beautiful. She came closer. The man was a work of art. Everything about him was perfectly proportioned and his cock was no exception. As she stared at it, it grew. She knelt next to him on the floor, fascinated by how it pulsed with life. Her blood pressure rose as she considered taking advantage of his situation.

  Rubbing it.

  Sucking it.

  Licking.

  Tasting.

“Damn, baby,” she whispered. He was fully engaged now, his staff hard and jerking of its own accord. “Fellows, I need.”

His need was merely a reflection of hers. His breathing was as shallow and fast–just like hers. And that beautiful erection beckoned beyond her power to resist. Crawling on the bed as slowly and quietly as possible, knelt next to him. Bending over, she began to plant butterfly kisses up and down his cock. Beneath her lips, the velvet skin tightened even more.

  Wet.

  Warm.

  Oh, Christ!

Micah’s entire body clenched. He stretched his legs, curling his toes, his thighs hard and knotted. “Ahhhh!” Paradise. Clawing the bed, he clutched the sheet in his hand, then realized he was awake.

  He wasn’t dreaming.

“Madison,” he moaned. “Damn, baby.” She was killing him. Her mouth felt so good loving him, her tongue soothed and tortured with an incredible drawing sensation as she sucked his cock with absolute concentration. “Fuck!” he cried.

He’d never had a woman go down on him like this before. She lavished him with attention. Worshipping him. Barely able to raise his head, he tried to focus on the vision before him. Any man can attest–there is nothing sexier on God’s green earth than a woman kneeling at your feet with your cock in her mouth.

“God, yes!” he bellowed as she pleasured him, bringing him to a mind-blowing climax. His back bowed as he filled her throat full of his cum. And she swallowed…holding him in her mouth while his body shuddered in perfect ecstasy.

  Wasted.

  He was sapped.

  He could barely breathe.

“Good morning,” she whispered, crawling up his body to touch her lips to his. “I hope you didn’t mind. I couldn’t resist you.”

“Foolish, foolish woman,” he breathed, pulling her close.

When he recovered, Micah was determined to make her day as beautiful as possible. “Where to, love?”

  “The Eiffel Tower, of course!”

Driving there was an adventure in itself, but Micah managed, weaving his way through the narrow one way streets as Madison tried to give him directions.

“It’s a good thing I have a natural, pioneering spirit,” he told her. “You may be riding shot-gun, but your scouting abilities need some work. Our wagon train would be lost in the wilderness forever with your directions.”

“Nope. It’s right in front of us. How could you miss it?” She pointed to the bronze colored tower.

“Seeing it and getting to it are two different things,” he grumbled, but soon they were parked and standing near the front of the line. “It’s one of the tallest structures in France at one thousand and sixty-three feet high. And we should be visitor number seven million and one.”

She laughed at his weird sense of humor. “Can we climb to the top?”

“We could, but there’s almost seventeen hundred steps. We should take the lift.”

“No, we have to climb. We have to be able to say we climbed the Eiffel Tower.”

Micah tried to make his case. “I’d rather conserve my energy to have sex with you. Almost everyone uses the lift.” He held up the brochure. “It says that if all of the trips were combined, the distance the lift would travel would be two and a half times the circumference of the Earth.”

“You’re such a writer, always doing research.”

“That’s right. Did you know a man sold the Eiffel Tower to some fool for scrap metal! Twice! And during cold weather the tower shrinks about six inches.”

  “How much do you shrink?”

“What?” He was pulling her to the lift.

“How much do you shrink in cold weather?”

“Fellows!” He barked out a laugh. “Summer isn’t here yet. Wait till you see me at my best.”

“Oh, Lord, I can barely take you now.”

They did as he wanted, riding the lift and soon they were on the second tier, gazing down at Paris from the most iconic symbol of all. With the wind whipping through their hair, they pointed out landmarks, including the Arc De Triomphe and Champs Elysees.

  “Having a go
od time?” he asked her, knowing the answer.

She was radiant. She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen.

“Oh, yes.” She launched herself into his arms. “Thank you. I love this and I love…” She gulped, and finished lamely. “Paris.”

Micah didn’t seem to notice. “Come here.” He led her to a spiral staircase that had a rope stretched across it. Stepping over it, he picked her up and swung her over to his side.

  “What are we doing?”

“What I have to do.” Finding a very rare, lonely corner, he pushed her to the wall, nuzzling her neck, nipping at it with gentle teeth. She could feel his erection hard against her thigh. “Hold your skirt up.” She did–and he pushed his hand down into her panties, dipping a finger into her tight channel.

She tightened around it, needing more. “We probably shouldn’t be doing this.”

“I don’t have a choice.” Boldly, he went to his knees. Lifting her right leg over his shoulder, he pushed the narrow crotch of her panties to one side and dove in.

“Micah!” she gasped. Closing her eyes, she bit her bottom lip. “Oh, God!”

Madison couldn’t be still. He held her down, his tongue performing the same mind-blowing action again and again–licking, swirling, sucking on the succulent pink flesh that fascinated him so.

“That’s it, Fellows. Fuck, you’re good.” He spread her wide and speared her deep. “Cum for me.”

Pulling the hard button into his mouth, he pushed two fingers deep into her tunnel. It was warm and creamy just for him. He could feel her walls grow wetter, raining passion all over his skin.

“Micah!” she screamed. Loud. They could get caught, but right now he didn’t give a flying fuck. He was pleasuring his woman, getting his fix and that was all that mattered.

“More!” he demanded, not letting up even when she went limp. “Again!”

Even as she tried to come down from one high, he pushed for more. “No, no, I can’t.”

  “Yes, you can. You will.”

She tried to move and he gave her sweet ass a pinch, increasing the pressure of his tongue and lavishly lapping up the cream of her orgasm. Instead of two fingers fucking her, he used three and varied his sensual assault by alternating nibbles to her clit and labia with the suction of his mouth.

  “Paybacks are…heaven.” she whispered.

He laughed against her skin, but didn’t take time to discuss it. Instead–he consumed.

  Devoured.

The intensity shocked Madison. He was fierce in his hunger and she was totally at his mercy. The second time she came was the hardest yet and she almost blacked out from the full-body spasms that washed over her body.

  “Monsieur! Madame! Arretez!”

“Uh, oh. We’ve got to go.” He gave one final kiss to her mound, then pulled her skirt down.

  “I don’t think I can walk.”

Micah just laughed, picked her up in his arms and swept her down the stairs to the next level. They laughed all the way to the ground.

Once they were on their way, nothing would do Madison but to walk along the Seine. “I just want to hold your hand and be happy.”

Who could resist a request like that? “Let’s go park at the hotel and walk from there,” he suggested and she agreed.

“Look, it’s starting to rain,” she lamented.

“Not hard, just a drizzle. I’m still game if you are.”

“Please. We have to go tomorrow and this will make it all complete.”

Micah felt his heart contract. He wasn’t about to tell her, but the woman had him wrapped around her little finger.

After the car was safely ensconced in the hotel garage, Madison and Micah went on their last excursion. He bought a bright red umbrella and they joined the crowd of other tourists too enchanted with the city to stay indoors.

The Seine was a ribbon of blue winding through a jewel of a city. They held hands and took one last look at scenes that were theirs to cherish forever. Only once did Madison ask to stop and that was at a small restaurant for water and to use the restroom. While she did, Micah leaned on a balustrade and gazed out over the bridge where they’d fastened the lock. He wasn’t really thinking, just waiting. The rain had stopped and the sun was peeking out. A reflective glint caught his eye and he noticed a policeman with a pair of heavy cutters dismantling the locks from the bridge.

  “Shit.”

He didn’t even hesitate, Micah headed over, hoping to catch him before he got to their lock. Arriving just in time, he approached the man, hoping he knew enough French to make him understand. “Excusez-moi.”

“I speak English,” the gentleman informed him. “What do you want?”

“Well, I see what you’re doing and I understand why.”

  “Good.”

“I hate to bother you, but there’s a lock here I’d like to claim. I know it was wrong to put it here, but I’d hate to see it thrown in the garbage.”

The man raised up and gave him a hard look that finally softened into a smile. “I was young once. I understand love. Which lock?”

Micah pointed it out and the man snipped the top latch and handed it over. “Here you go. I hope you two are happy.”

“Me too.” Micah said, holding the lock fast in his hand. Not knowing what he was going to say to Madison, he slipped into his pocket and headed back.

“There you are! You scared me.” She met him with a hug. “Where did you go?”

“Just looking around. Did you miss me?”

“So much. Are you ready to go home?”

She meant the hotel, but he answered truthfully. “No. I’ve loved being here with you, but we can’t live in a fairy tale forever. It’s time to go home I guess.”

  CHAPTER THIRTEEN

  Home…

“Like heck you’re going home.” Micah protested when they stepped off the plane.

“Micah. I haven’t been home for weeks.” She protested half-heartedly. If she had her way, she’d never leave his side again.

He pulled her close for a kiss. “Which is how I like you. Right next to me as often as possible. I’ll take you home tomorrow, but you’re staying at my place tonight.”

Micah had a surprise for her and he couldn’t wait to get her back to the ranch to show her.

She dozed the hour trip home and he was glad she could rest. “What in the world?” he said, loudly enough to wake her.

Putting on the brake, he drove down his driveway at a crawl giving her time to wake up to see what was waiting for her.

“Is that my car?” Madison asked, rubbing her eyes. Her old beat-up car was sitting parked out in front of Micah’s gorgeous house. “What’s it doing here?”

“That’s a good question. I’ll grab the bags and we’ll go find out together.”

Madison walked around her car while Micah put their bags on the front porch. “How did you get it here? This thing conked out before our first date and that was a while ago.”

“Are you calling us an old married couple, Fellows? Has the spark gone out for you?”

  Married couple?

  Torture.

  Pure torture.

Determined to tease him back, Madison rose to meet his kiss. “Never, my darling. We’re still as young and hot as ever.”

“Well, I guess seeing as how your car is here and you wanted to go home, you might as well go.” He opened the driver’s side door. “Well, go ahead, Fellows.”

“It doesn’t work. You know that.”

“Doesn’t it? Why don’t you jump in and see if you’re right?”

Madison climbed in behind the wheel. The keys were already in the ignition. “What did you do, Micah?”

He gave her his signature wolfish grin. “While we’re still young, Fellows.”

Madison turned the key and the engine fired up right away. “It works!”

Micah went around to the passenger side and got in. “How about we take a quick spin around the ranch? See what this bad boy can do
.”

Madison threw the car into gear and headed down the driveway and out onto the road. “How did you get it working?”

“I had Jet swing by your place after we left for Paris.”

  “He stole my car?”

“More or less, I guess. He also broke into your apartment to get the key. But he did it with good intentions. He needed an excuse to bring Polly by to visit Thunderpunch anyway. Those two don’t see each other as much as siblings should.”

“So, Jet is a mechanic also? Those are some impressive friends you have.”

“The big guy isn’t a car mechanic, but put him in front of a Harley with a toolbox and that’s a different story. He can fix a bike with his eyes closed, but he took your car to a friend’s shop and they fixed it up together. I would’ve just bought you a new car, but I didn’t think you’d accept it, as you already told me, prior to our first date.” He knew her independence was important to her.

“No, you’ve done too much for me as it is. I’ll never be able to repay you for the Paris trip.” Madison was giddy behind the wheel of her now functioning car. “It might sound strange, but I actually missed the old rust bucket.” She pulled the car around and headed back toward the ranch house.

“The vacation was for both of us. Okay?” Being with her on the trip had knocked his socks off. Even though they were back on terra firma, Micah’s feet still hadn’t touched the ground. “Test drive over already?”

“I don’t want to overdo it and break it again.”

“Don’t worry, Fellows. I told Jet it needed to be fixed and I guarantee his guy did a good job. This puppy will last you for many years to come.” They pulled into the driveway. “Park it over by the garage. We’ll take my car when I take you home tomorrow.”

They sat in the car for a moment longer. “First the phone, then trips, now the car? Micah. I really need to pay you back for the repairs. How much was it?”

Micah got out of the car. He wouldn’t hear it. “You’re gonna hurt my feelings. Let’s go inside. You can freshen up while I check my emails and messages. I’ll let you pay me back after that.” He gave her a wink and a slap on the butt.
